3 things to see in Sukhothai
Sukhothai’s historical park
Main attraction of Sukhothai, the site is about 10 kilometers outside the site and many « taxis » are used to go back and forth, taking tourists there. The aera is actually much much than it looks on a map. Half a day is quite enough to see everything taking your time. Still it stays as something to see. Ponds and nenuphar give the place a very nice look.
The road just behind the historical park
If you plan too much time for the park you can still go for a ride on the small road behind the park. Just rent some bike at on of the many places in front the park first. You will find wondeful landscapes like rice fields with mountains on the background. Some clouds are often stuck by them and will show you a amazing view. Get your cameras ready. The road leads to few temples or shrines, easily accessible all along the way.
Wat RatchaThanee
A the first look, this temple doesn’t pay off but still it has its own thing. It is as the city, very simple and pleasant. At the sunrise, the lights on the Buddha’s statue might astoned you. Its trees and the pond, that is reflecting the colors of the roof’s temple, freshing the place. Some nights hundreds of birds will hide on the trees’ brenches and will scream to such a high level that it is almost unbearable.
